There are hundreds of festivals held across the UK each summer and from looking at the list of upcoming events in the north of the country, it seems that a good chunk of them are close to or around the North West. Better still, there is something for everyone.
The Dentdale Music and Beer Festival at the end of June is the perfect combination of live music, great beer, fantastic company, top off by a couple of nights under the stars. With plenty of hospitality staff on hand, this will be a great way to spend a few days with friends.
Not all festivals have to be raucous, loud events and so if you are looking for something a little more genteel, then the collection of events that make up the Furness Tradition Festival in Cumbria is right up your street. From the 12th to 14th July, the streets and pubs of Ulverston will be alive with live folk music and other amazing events. Why not swing on by and enjoy a gentler but still lively pace of life for a day or two?
Something for the family now is the Just So Festival at Rode Hall, Cheshire. From 16th to 18th August, you can enjoy all kinds of events from games to mysteries, to singing and concerts. Now in its tenth year, this festival is boasting its biggest event calendar yet and no wonder, as the event is so popular with local families and visitors.
With new areas planned for 2019, the organisers will be looking to fill these space with acts and performances that entice and enthral in equal measure. People don’t realise the full extent of the services we offer event organisers and certainly not for events for like this. For example, our ‘put up and pack up’ teams work quickly, efficiently and safely making sure that everything is where it should be, ready for when the event doors open.
There are hundreds of music festivals across the UK and one amazing event is right here in the North West – The Great British Rhythm & Blues Festival. And it is big – there are over 170 acts booked to perform across 22 stages. You can’t afford to miss this amazing three-day festival! In its 30th year, it is an event that keeps on growing which it can only do with remarkable organisation, amazing acts and of course, brilliant support from festival goers. Behind the scenes, there are many other event staff who contribute to making this festival, and others like it, what it is. Our event staff are on hand to answer any queries that people have and of course, our marshals and stewards make sure that everyone stays safe, no matter what they do or where they are at the festival.
There are other great events coming up such as the Manchester Folk Festival 2019 in October as well as Liverpool Irish Festival from mid to late October. But in the meantime, enjoy the summer and the rich tapestry of festivals on offer across the North West.
