Let’s face it, every Englishman loves a party. And the largest party in the North is coming to Manchester this month. The Manchester Beer and Cider Festival is set to begin on January 19 through the 21st at Manchester Central. The festival will be open on January 18 for trade only.
English pubs are a tradition and the brew being offered by these pubs is well-known. You have a chance to try up to 700 different beers, ciders and perries from around the world. With that many choices there has to be something for everyone.
Not a drinker? Let’s try the food. Each year there are more vendors and more variety. This year you can expect handmade Cornish pastries, English muffins with a variety of fillings, both savory and sweet pies, pulled pork and plenty of beef. Most of the cuisine will be found in the experienced street trader food stalls set up specifically for this event.
The festival has been organised by the Campaign For Real Ale (CAMRA) and they are expecting to break their attendance record of over 14,000 visitors from last year. To that end they have increased floor space by 30% and added more vendors.
Are you a fan of English beer but not from England? No problem. The city is served by roads, rail and air making it accessible for visitors from all over the world. This is one of England’s best parties of the year. You won’t want to miss it but you better hurry!
