Previously called the Buy Art Fair, the Manchester Art Fair at Manchester Central is the largest and the longest established art fair in the North. With work featuring from over 120 galleries and artists, this is a chance to purchase an original piece of art work.
With something to suit all artistic tastes, the three-day event opens at 5 pm on Friday 12th October and then is open from 10 am for the remaining two days.

The benefits of art on the physical and mental health are many and varied. And yet, so many of us struggle to see the true value of art in all its shapes and forms.
From detailed landscaped paintings to flourishing dashes of a brush in modernism, to artistic photographs and sculpture, art has shown the way for caring for our health – mind, body and soul – for so long.
It is also a process by which we can pass on stories from one generation to the next, just like drawings on cave walls do. We learnt to draw long before we started to write or to use language as a form of communication.
But even when we have words, the message can be lost.
It is said that a human will have 60,000 thoughts a day. Where do most of these end up? On the scrapheap of the mind, forgotten.
“A picture is a poem without words” Horace
But there is still a level of practicality in organising the biggest art fair in the North. There are invitations to VIPs, there are events to host, viewings to facilitate, conversations to be had.
Try as hard as we might, we cannot be all things to all people and that’s where promotional and event staff come in.
We understand, however, that anyone exhibiting at the Manchester Art Fair this October will have questions about the validity of hiring promotional staff.
Will promotional staff have knowledge of art and the art world?
Yes. We have thousands of people on our database all of whom are talented promotional and event staff. We look for people who have diverse skills relating to all kinds of industry, as well as the creative and art industry.
We also talented event staff who have worked at art fairs and similar shows in the past. They bring with them a wealth of experience and knowledge and so no, you won’t have a promotional team with no clue about art.
Is it worth the extra cost?
We understand that for clients, exhibiting at a show like the Manchester Art Fair comes with a price tag. Considering it is a selling fair, you also want to be confident that any event staff you hire so have the ability to make a sale.
Otherwise, you may think, hiring professional hostesses, sales and event staff to be a financial step too far.
We don’t think it is. We will find you the best sales team (if that is the event staff you want – we also have hostesses and hosts, perfect for VIP parties, as well as performers and presenters, ideal for auctions and sales) and that means there is a generous return on investment.
